I have so many birds, but my favorite one is my duck. His name is Echo. I got Echo as a duckling in the spring of 2020. I had 3 other ducklings also and it was fun watching them grow up. When they were finally big enough to swim we put them in the kitchen sink and I watched them swim and play in the water and when it was time for them to live outside my mom and I built a coop for the ducks. We built a duck house so they had more space to roam around and have a pool to swim in. The duck house connects to the pool by a deck and it's fun to watch them dive into the water.

My MOST favorite thing about Echo is that he'll play tag with me! When we're playing tag, I'll be walking away from his coop and he starts to chase me. I'll run a little and he starts to run and fly towards me even faster. Then, I turn around and start chasing him back. He'll fly away quacking and squawking as I chase him, then when I turn back around, it happens all over again. We can do this all day, and we have the best time laughing and squawking together, chasing each other around the pasture. When we're done playing tag I can go and pick Echo up and hold him and tell him how much fun I had playing. It was really hard losing the other 3 ducks and I miss them so much, but I know that Echo will help protect my new ducklings and keep them safe. Him playing with me and being a good protector are the main reasons he is my favorite.
