What is Poultry-Palooza? Poultry-Palooza is part APA-style show and part educational clinic. While the birds are being cage judged (just like at an APA show) participants join in hands-on educational sessions. Even those without birds in the fun show are eligible to participate in the sessions! A showmanship contest is available for all youth. Youth need not be enrolled in 4-H to participate in the showmanship contest. 

Throughout the day, each participant earns tickets based on their efforts in the sessions, showmanship and the fun show. Tickets are spent at the prize table at the end of the day. All prizes cost a different number of tickets. Prizes are received from host locations, Wyoming 4-H and Wyoming Poultry Association.

 

Topics for each location will be similar so it doesn't matter where you participate, you're getting the same valuable information from WPA Experts, Poultry Industry Professionals, Judges and Exhibitors!  

 

Is this just for kids? NO WAY! Poultry-Palooza is offered through a unique partnership between Wyoming 4-H and the Wyoming Poultry Association (WPA.) Adults and youth can enter birds for competition and participate in educational sessions but only youth can compete in showmanship.
